October 29, 2013 This is a train cake I made a while back, but as a couple of people have asked me for the instructions for this, I thought I would post it. This train cake is really simple to do, and involves no baking at all (unless you wanted to make the swiss rolls yourself) - you can just assemble it from shop bought ingredients.

The train itself was about 4″ wide and 10″ long. I stacked the train out of a few sheet cakes and carved it down to the proper shape. I covered the train in gray fondant and then airbrushed it with silver color to make it look shiny and metallic. Then I added all the other details. I cut the Acela logo out of thin blue fondant and a paper.
